For owners of independent hotels
From the outside, your hotel looks successful. From the inside, it feels relentless.
Bookings are harder to come by than they used to be. OTAs take a bigger bite every year. Pricing feels more fragile than it should. And the harder you work, the less the business seems to give back.
It doesn't have to feel like this. And it isn't fixed by working harder.
When the business starts working properly, the hotel feels different. And you feel different running it.
You stop relying on OTAs to fill your rooms. You stop dropping prices out of fear. And the constant worry about what's coming next? It goes too.
You start attracting the right guests. The diary fills with longer, higher-value stays - at rates that finally match the experience you offer.
Not because you're working harder.
Because you've finally built the business behind the hotel you're so proud of.
Hi, I'm Stephanie.
I didn't come to this work through a business degree or a marketing background. I came to it the same way you did - running a hospitality business and trying to make the numbers work without burning out.
Over twenty years ago, my husband and I bought a dilapidated Victorian villa by the sea - a business that wasn't trading and was in a sorry state.
We thought it would be simple.
It wasn't.

We poured blood, sweat and tears into turning it into somewhere special - only to find that was the easy part. Getting the right bookings, at the right price, consistently enough to live on, was something else entirely. The dream we'd chased quickly became far harder than we imagined. We were exhausted and not making anything.
Then the 2008 recession hit. Bookings stopped. For a while, I thought we'd lose everything.
But that period forced me to see what I'd missed. We'd spent years focused on the hospitality side of the business - but very little time thinking about how the business itself actually needed to work.
So I rebuilt it differently.
Not by chasing more bookings - by stepping back and building the business behind it. It became award-winning. Truly profitable. And eventually, we sold it at a premium price.
That was 16 years ago.
What I learned the hard way became the foundation of The Thrive Method™ - and mentoring hospitality business owners has been my full-time work ever since. I've now worked with hundreds of owners around the world through every kind of market - booming, broken, recovering, shifting.
Today, I focus specifically on independent hotels through my mentorship programme, Thrive. A small group of owners I coach personally to help them build a business that is profitable, calm and genuinely enjoyable to run.
I'm a mentor, not a consultant. I don't hand you a strategy and walk away.
I help you build the business behind the hotel.
You don't need more bookings.
You need to design how the whole thing runs.
So it stops consuming your life and starts supporting it.
One hotelier's story
"Working with Stephanie transformed not just my bookings, but how the whole business feels to run. We moved away from constant stress and OTA reliance and into a far more profitable, enjoyable way of working."
Louise, 15-bedroom hotel, Cornwall
This is exactly the kind of transformation Thrive is designed to create.

How this works
There are two ways to start working with me.
The Profitably Booked Workshop is the open door - a free hour-long workshop where I walk through the three shifts that move your independent hotel from consuming your life... to supporting it.
Thrive is the deeper work - a six-month mentorship for owners ready to rebuild the business behind the hotel. Personal coaching, a small group of like-minded hoteliers and the full Thrive Method™ at its core.
